Mikel Arteta has said he is putting together clips of opposing Premier League managers exiting their technical areas, after he received his second yellow card this season for that offence in Arsenal's 2-0 victory over Everton on Saturday.
Sky Sport and BBC Sport both reported his comments.
According to the Evening Standard, Arteta was also cautioned for the same reason away at Sunderland earlier in the campaign, and a third yellow card would bring a touchline ban.
The Standard reported that seven yellow cards were shown during Saturday's match, three of them on the touchline. The win moved Arsenal level on points with Manchester City.
Arteta suggested the problem could be monitored more closely. "I do have to be careful. They should put sensors there," he said, in comments carried by BBC Sport.
He added that other managers in the division have escaped punishment despite repeatedly stepping out of their areas. "There are managers who have the record in the league, 36 times in 10 minutes [they] leave the touchline - no yellows," he said.
He continued: "Somebody else has the record so let's see."
He added: "I don't know what we are going to do - let's see."
Arsenal return to action on Tuesday, when they travel to Highbury Stadium to face Fleetwood Town in the Carabao Cup.
