Arsenal vs Man United in nightmare scenario, Tottenham vs Granada – Europa League draw simulated

Three English teams will be in the hat for the Europa League round of 16 draw today.

Manchester United and Arsenal joined Tottenham in the hat for the draw, which takes place in Nyon, Switzerland at around midday on Friday.

Spurs secured safe passage into the round of 16 on Wednesday with a comfortable 8-1 aggregate win over Austrian side Wolfsberger AC.

And, with United leading 4-0 from the first leg against Real Sociedad, they easily made their way through with a 0-0 draw in the second leg.

Arsenal had things much tougher though, following a 1-1 draw with Benfica in the first encounter.

The Gunners needed to come from 2-1 down against the Portuguese side to win 3-2 on the night in Athens, to secure their place in the last 16 of the competition.

And the three teams will be joined by Scottish giants Rangers, who enjoyed a 9-5 aggregate win over Royal Antwerp.

There is no seeding in this stage of the competition, so teams from England can draw each other without any issues.

The draw is due to take place at midday today, but we’ve done a simulation ahead of the actual draw and it has thrown up a massive tie – Arsenal vs Manchester United.

That would be a huge clash of two English giants if it does come true.

Meanwhile, Tottenham will be more than happy if the simulation does come true, as they were drawn against Spanish side Granada.
