Player ratings vs Benfica
Arsenal’s Europa League round of 32 first-leg tie against Benfica ended all square with Bukayo Saka cancelling out Pizzi’s penalty to leave the game in the balance.
The Gunners spurned a couple of golden chances to take a lead into the second leg – with captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang guilty of missing a sitter in the first-half.
But it was Saka who came to the rescue with his sixth goal of the season across all competitions.
More importantly, the north London outfit have an away goal in their pocket and that means they will advance to the round of 16 stage with a goalless draw in next week’s second leg.
Aside from Saka, on-loan midfielder Martin Odegaard caught the eye at the Stadio Olimpico and there was also a high mark for another loanee in Dani Ceballos.

Real Madrid’s Odegaard transfer stance
Real Madrid are reportedly frustrated with Martin Odegaard.
The attacking midfielder is on loan at Arsenal from the La Liga giants until the end of the season, and his first start in last Sunday’s 4-2 victory over Leeds United.
And according to Defensa Central state, it’s Odegaard’s comments about a permanent transfer that were made after the win against Leeds that has frustrated his parent club.
Martin Odegaard has settled quickly at Arsenal after joining on loan from Real Madrid in January.

Odegaard refused to rule out a permanent move to the Emirates Stadium, stating: “You never know what happens, but first of all my focus is about the rest of the season. Hopefully (I will) help the team, and then we’ll see what happens.”
