Frank Leboeuf has been left by baffled by Mikel Arteta’s decision making at times and highlighted his call to take off Alexandre Lacazette for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in Arsenal’s 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa as a ‘mistake’.

Arsenal enjoyed the majority of the possession but couldn’t convert their dominance of the ball into clear-cut chances, with Dean Smith’s side looking much more threatening on the counter.

Aubameyang replaced Lacazette in the 59th minute but the captain barely had a touch on the ball and couldn’t prevent his side from suffering back-to-back losses in the Premier League.
And former Chelsea defender and French World Cup winner Leboeuf couldn’t wrap his head around Arteta’s substitution.
‘Sometimes I don’t understand Arteta,’ he told ESPN FC.
