We ‘signed’ Isco for Arsenal in January and the results were impressive

Arsenal have already made one January signing, having brought in defender Omar Rekik from Hertha Berlin, but speculation suggests that the Gunners may be looking to bring in a creative midfielder before the end of the month.

Real Madrid midfielder Isco is one such creative midfielder who has been linked with making the switch to the Emirates Stadium in this window, with the Spaniard seemingly out of favour under Zinedine Zidane this season, having made just three starts in La Liga so far in the 2020/21 campaign.

However according to the most recent reports, specifically a report from Spanish outlet AS, Mikel Arteta has now dropped plans to sign the out-of-favour Real Madrid man due to the emergence of Emile Smith Rowe recently, with Sevilla also emerging as a possible destination for the former Malaga midfielder.
