Mesut Ozil posts ‘farewell’ message outside Emirates Stadium as Arsenal exit agreed

Mesut Ozil has posted a “farewell” message outside Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium after his exit was agreed.

The German agreed a deal in principle with the Gunners as a move to Turkish side Fenerbahce gets closer.

It brings an end to his seven-year stay with the north London side in a massive £350,000-a-week deal.

And Ozil shared a message on what could be his last visit to the Emirates Stadium on Instagram.

In the clip on his story, the 32-year-old can be seen standing below a sign featuring Sead Kolasinac – his pal who is on loan at Schalke.

Tagging the full-back and his new club, the midfielder says: “Sead brother what are you doing here?

Kolasinac also replied to the post on Instagram, adding a message of his own with: “Good luck, brother.”

This footage was soon shared on Twitter, where the Gunners faithful believe it was a goodbye message to the club.

“It just hit me that he is leaving,” one supporter said.
