Arsenal will be looking to make it five wins in a row when they take on Crystal Palace at the Emirates in the Premier League on Thursday.

The Gunners needed extra time to get past Newcastle in the FA Cup on Saturday but after heavy rotation, Mikel Arteta is expected to revert to many of the names that have done so well for him in recent weeks.

Palace are not in the best of form, but will take heart from the fact that they are unbeaten in their four against Arsenal.

Arteta has already said that he expects the Eagles to provide a stern test.

“They are a really dangerous side and they have shown that against big teams,” he said in his pre-match press conference.

“They are a really compact and organised team and you know what you’re going to expect.

“They have players with a big individual talent that just need moments to win games, to create actions that can unbalance the game so we have to be very careful with that.”

There weren’t many players who did their chances of getting into the Premier League team much good with an underwhelming display against Newcastle in the FA Cup.

If anything the fact that substitutes like Emile Smith Rowe, Bukayo Saka and Alexandre Lacazette played so well just cemented their status as first team regulars right now.

David Luiz did have a good game on Saturday to be fair to him, but after Rob Holding signed his contract extension this week I expect him to celebrate it with a start.

Pablo Mari has been excellent alongside Rob Holding in recent games for Arsenal.
