Bent urges Gunners to ‘let go’ of duo
Darren Bent has told Arsenal to ‘let go’ of defensive duo Sokratis and Calum Chambers amid links away from the Emirates Stadium.
Both centre-backs are out of favour under Mikel Arteta and there has been plenty of speculation over their futures with the club.
Sokratis is reportedly a target for Genoa, while Chambers has been linked with a move to West Ham United.
Bent has urged Arsenal to let both players go this month as they look for regular first-team football.
Speaking to talkSPORT, the former Tottenham striker said: “There were times when he was playing well and he was in the team. But him and Sokratis, I would let them go. They are not going to feature. They are still quite centre-back heavy.”

Sogut said: “At the moment Mesut is free to talk to any club he likes. English rules dictate that you can talk to any club once you get into the final six months of your contract. We’re doing this at the moment. We’re in this process.
“At the moment Mesut can sign a new contract with whichever club he likes. He’s free and he’s free to do that. We are doing this and of course Arsenal football club…
