Arsenal told how much it will cost to complete January transfer for Emiliano Buendia

Championship table-toppers Norwich City have slapped a £40million price tag on Arsenal target Emiliano Buendia.

That is according to a report by the Express.

The Argentine ace, who has been outstanding so far this season, spearheading the Canaries’ push for an immediate return to the Premier League, is attracting plenty of attention this month, particularly from the Gunners, who are desperate to add a new creative midfielder to their ranks.

football.london understands that Buendia, who was linked with a move to Leeds United during the summer, has been a long-term target of Arsenal’s, with the club having watched him regularly in the past few months.

At the same time, though, the Gunners, who will be seeking a fifth successive victory in all competitions when they face Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday evening, are desperate to bolster their attacking ranks, meaning they may be forced to bite the bullet and grasp the nettle with both hands.

Buendia has been a shining light in the Championship this season, being directly involved in 13 goals, scoring seven and bagging six assists, highlighting his creative ability.

Although football.london understands that Buendia would be happy to remain at Carrow Road and help Daniel Farke’s side maintain their promotion push, it is also believed that the Argentine architect is refusing to rule out the prospect of leaving the club this month should an attractive offer come his way.
