Arsenal’s transfer plans for January have become clear following the 3-1 win over Chelsea.
The Gunners have been linked with several new players ahead of the winter window, including the likes of Christian Eriksen, Emi Buendia, Phillipe Coutinho, and Houssem Aouar.
Whether Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is able to bolster his squad remains to be seen.
But former Gunners defender Alex Scott has called on the Spaniard and technical director Edu to identify where the squad needs strengthening.

“I think that’s where there has been a disconnect in terms of the board and the recruitment,” Scott said on Sky Sports.
“You’ve got Edu in place now as well. They have got to sit down and identify and work out a strategy for what are the players they need.”
With that said, Scott does believe the building blocks are in place at the Emirates Stadium following a £72m spending spree in the summer transfer window.
Thomas Partey (£45m) and Gabriel Magalhaes (£27m) – neither of whom featured against Chelsea – have both had promising starts in north London, but Scott has questioned if a replacement for Mesut Ozil should be a priority next month.
“Arsenal needed a defender, they brought one in, in terms of Gabriel,” Scott added.
“Thomas Partey is the central midfielder Arsenal have been crying out for a defensive player like that who can break up play and also get forward for so many seasons.
“And in terms of the Mesut Ozil situation, when you look at Smith Rowe today – that creative player. Do they bring in someone like that?
“But they have building blocks and it’s the strategy to make sure they bring in those players to build on a team.”
