Arsenal outcast Mesut Ozil may not play for the club again, but that hasn’t stopped him from interacting with Gunners fans.
The German playmaker was left out of Mikel Arteta’s squad for both the Premier League and Europa League.
Barring a major u-turn in January, he won’t play for the club again before leaving at the end of his contract next summer.
With his new free time, Ozil has become more active on social media, and has been keen to keep himself interactive with fans.
And on Monday, he found himself in a Twitter back-and-forth with Piers Morgan over Paul Pogba.

Ozil posted an old picture of himself taking a corner at the Emirates with the caption: “The feeling of having fans behind you… #grateful #bestfans #hardtimes.”
And Morgan was quick to respond, as he declared that the midfielder no longer has the support of Gunners fans.
He replied: “Real Arsenal fans aren’t behind you.
“You’re our Paul Pogba – massively overpaid, massively under-performing, & shockingly overinflated sense of your own importance.”
That comment came as a reference to Pogba’s situation at Manchester United, following the Frenchman’s agent, Mino Raiola, claiming his time at Old Trafford is over.
But Ozil was quick to respond to Morgan, and wrote: “Piers, buddy, are you still bitter from the other day?
“It seems like you’re not a big fan of World Champions [sic] I wish you would see as good as you hear things.”
