Dani Ceballos breaks David Luiz silence
Dani Ceballos says that his scuffle with David Luiz shows that the team has character, despite previously stating that the report was “fake”.
After The Athletic reported that the pair had clashed in training, Ceballos retweeted the report with the caption, “FAKE”. However, he has since admitted that the reports are true, but also expressed his belief that it shows the fighting spirit within the squad.
“I’m not going to say that there wasn’t a clash or a scuffle,” Ceballos told The Sun. “It was not an exemplary behaviour but it is good to see Arsenal is alive, that the team has character.
“We are two footballers with very similar leadership qualities and these things can happen.
“We didn’t let a single day go by. We spoke that same afternoon after training. Now we have to learn so it does not happen again.”

Paul Merson delivers scathing verdict on Arsenal star
Paul Merson brandished Nicolas Pepe as being “out of his depth” after the winger failed to live up to expectations following a £72million club-record transfer in 2019.
Pepe was sent off in Arsenal’s 0-0 draw with Leeds United last weekend, but bounced back with a goal and impressive performance in the Europa League victory over Molde on Thursday. Merson, though, still believes that the Ivorian must do more to prove that he is good enough for his former team.
“Nicolas Pepe looks out of his depth and he’s going to have to do it against much better teams than Molde to change my opinion,” Merson told the Daily Star. “I can understand how he got sent off in the Leeds game. He’s been having a nightmare ever since he joined Arsenal and one Europa League goal in Norway won’t change that.
