Valencia to offer youngster long-term deal amid Arsenal interest
There’s a tug-of-war for Yunus Musah at international level, but Valencia are attempting to ensure his club future is settled.
The teenager has played for England at under-18 level, but turned out for the United States’ senior side for two friendlies in November.
His international recognition came after a fast start to the La Liga season which has reported interest from Arsenal, who he left for Valencia in 2019.
And, according to AS (via HITC), Valencia are ready to hand the midfielder a five-year contract to keep him at the Mestalla.

Musah turns 18 on Saturday, at which point Javi Gracia’s side will attempt to tie him down to a long-term deal with the club.
The youngster has thrived after being given his chance by Gracia this term, stepping up after the departures of Dani Parejo and former Arsenal man Francis Coquelin.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang proven right about Folarin Balogun
Folarin Balogun had a night to remember in Norway on Thursday, coming off the bench against Molde to score his first ever senior Arsenal goal.
The 19-year-old striker had made his debut in the Europa League win over Dundalk, and struck late on against the 2019 Eliteserien champions to help clinch a 3-0 win for the Gunners.
Balogun’s goal was vindication for his team-mate Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who talked up the teenager before the match.
“For sure, he is very, very talented, and he shows every time he trains with us that he’s a really great talent and he works a lot and is a humble guy as well,” Aubameyang said.
“I don’t see him a lot [off the field], but he’s a cool guy. We sometimes have a laugh with him and Laca [Alexandre Lacazette].”
