Rob Holding has played down the alleged training ground bust-up between Dani Ceballos and David Luiz at Arsenal and insists the incident was ‘just a bit of competitiveness’.
David Luiz reportedly struck Ceballos on the nose and drew blood after taking exception to a challenge from the Spanish midfielder during a training session last week.
Ceballos subsequently claimed that reports of the incident are ‘fake’, while Arteta says such incidents are ‘resolved immediately’ and is adamant that there is ‘no problem’ between the two players.
But Holding says he welcomes a competitive spirit during Arsenal’s training sessions and has indicated that the two players have settled their differences.
‘It’s just competitive training, that’s all we want it to be,’ Holding told Sky Sports.
‘We want it to be match-like, you’ve got to train as if it’s a match.
