Mikel Arteta and Edu are facing big contract decisions on 10 Arsenal players

Arsenal have made a sub-par start to their Premier League campaign with the Gunners currently occupying 11th place in the table.

Mikel Arteta’s side have lost four of their opening eight matches having struggled to succeed on the attacking front, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s penalty against Manchester United last month their only goal in the last four Premier League outings.

Despite their poor start, Arteta’s impact since taking the hotseat has been mostly positive with the Spaniard bringing in a number of talented new faces during the summer transfer window.

Thomas Partey and Gabriel Magalhaes have been the most impressive of the new arrivals so far and look set to improve Arsenal’s game over the course of the season.

He penned a five-year contract upon his arrival from Bayer Leverkusen in 2018.
