Gunners rejected Lacazette bid

Arsenal rejected a ‘substantial’ bid for Alexandre Lacazette from AS Roma in the summer transfer window, according to David Ornstein of The Athletic.

Lacazette has scored three times in seven Premier League appearances for the Gunners so far this season, but was the subject of a late bid from the Serie A giants over the summer.

Speaking on the Tifo Podcast’s YouTube channel, Ornstein said: “Arsenal did receive a substantial offer towards the end of the transfer window just gone from Roma for Lacazette. It fell below their valuation of him, and so he stayed put.”

‘Next Ozil’ lined up

Arsenal are preparing a bid to sign Lille midfielder Yusuf Yazici, who has been likened to Mesut Ozil, according to the Daily Mail.
