Arsenal are already making plans for the transfer windows in 2021.
Mikel Arteta’s first two windows since being appointed Gunners manager has seen him mainly focus on improving his side’s defence, with Cedric Soares, Pablo Mari, and Gabriel Magalhaes all arriving in the calender year.
But attention has since turned to bolstering Arsenal’s midfield options and the summer deadline day signing of Thomas Partey – for £45m from Atletico Madrid – is just the beginning.

As revealed by football.london in September, Gunners technical director Edu has two transfer priorities in a bid to complete Arteta’s squad.
One is a new striker amid links to Patson Daka as well as Odsonne Edouard of Red Bull Salzburg and Celtic respectively, and the other is a creative midfielder.
Lyon playmaker Houssem Aouar was tipped for a move to the Emirates Stadium in the summer, only to end up staying in France. Although it has been revealed that he dreams of playing in the Premier League one day.
An alternative to Aouar for Arsenal is Dominik Szoboszlai.
football.london first revealed the Gunners’ interest in the Hungary international in the summer of 2019 and scouts have keeping tabs on the attacking midfielder ever since.
Last week as per Sport Witness, Matyas Esterhazy – the agent of Szoboszlai revealed the 20-year-old will not be signing for AC Milan despite having been close to an agreement twice and that “Arsenal’s interest is real”.
And there’s been a major development regarding Szoboszlai and the north London outfit.
According to reports, as cited by Sport Witness, the Hungarian’s agent has held talks with Arsenal regarding a move which could take place next summer.
