Emiliano Martinez enjoyed the perfect return to Arsenal on Sunday night.
After a decade in north London which included numerous loan spells away, the 28-year-old left the Gunners on a permanent basis as he joined Aston Villa in a deal that could be worth £20m during the summer transfer window.
Since joining Villa, the Argentine has been an ever-present under head coach Dean Smith in the league and was handed a start against his former club in the final game before the international break.

It was the first time Martinez had faced Arsenal and it turned out to be a memorable one.
Not only did he keep a clean sheet against the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, and Willian, but he was on the winning side.
An Ollie Watkins second-half brace added to Bukayo Saka’s own goal and ensured Villa shocked Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium by picking up all three points in a 3-0 victory.
In truth, Martinez was rarely called into action as he came out on top in the head-to-head battle with Bernd Leno.
But ahead of kick-off in north London, there was a special moment between the two goalkeepers, as spotted by Goal.
Leno came out for his warm-up about 30 seconds after Martinez and immediately shouted “Emi”.
To which the Argentine responded by giving his former team-mate a wave.
