Thomas Partey injury latest with Arsenal midfielder set for scan on thigh after Aston Villa game

Thomas Partey’s injury will be “scanned” today, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has announced in an update on the player’s injury against Aston Villa.

The Gunners midfielder has impressed fans ever since he arrived from Atletico Madrid for £45m on transfer deadline day.

And the Gunners boss is wasting no time getting the star midfielder checked out and ready for a return as soon as possible.

Speaking to the club website after the game, Arteta said: “We don’t know, we have to scan him tomorrow or the day after and see what he felt straight away.
