Arsenal legend Ian Wright laid into the Gunners stars responsible for their embarrassing 3-0 loss to Aston Villa on Sunday.
Mikel Arteta’s men put in one of their worst performances in months as they were completely outplayed at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal trailed for most of the match, and offered very little fight back as Villa upped the ante to secure all three points.
And Wright slammed the poor workrate and lack of creativity on offer from the Gunners.
“It was poor in every department,” Wright blasted on Match of the Day. “They need to break the lines, they need space to hit the ball into, they were dithering on the ball.

“It was a million miles away from the performance against Manchester United [where they won 1-0]. They were streets ahead of us today.
“The effort and workrate from a team that was rested was nowhere near good enough. You need to impress your game upon them.
“There’s a lack of central midfielder that can create what [Arteta] needs, but you can’t go into a game like that.”

Meanwhile, fellow pundit Alan Shearer was full of praise for the “magnificent” victorious Aston Villa players.
“Every single one of them was fantastic,” he said. “It was a complete team performance, with and without the ball.
“Close control, running in behind, working as a team, ability on the ball.
