Jack Grealish has already delivered verdict on Mesut Ozil ahead of Arsenal v Aston Villa

Aston Villa skipper Jack Grealish will be looking to produce another exemplary performance in Sunday’s match against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

The 25-year-old has already registered eight goal contributions in just six Premier League appearances for Villa, who are level on points with the Gunners, but sit one place above Mikel Arteta ‘s side in the table having played a game less.

Arsenal will be aiming to build on their impressive win at Manchester United last weekend and could go level on points with fifth-placed Chelsea with victory.

A player who definitely won’t be involved for the hosts is Mesut Ozil, who has been frozen out at the club after being left out of their 25-man Premier League squad last month.

However, Grealish is an admirer of the 32-year-old World Cup winner. He publicly declared his respect for Ozil on Twitter way back in 2014, posting: “Ozil… What a player!!!”

The tweet was sent after the midfielder had scored a last-gasp extra-time winner for Germany in their World Cup clash with Algeria to secure a place in the quarter finals of the tournament

He started every match for the eventual champions on their way to victory.

Grealish praised Ozil once again two years later during Euro 2016, tweeting: “Never seen a king of assists like Ozil.”
