Arsenal team news: Expected 4-3-3 for Aston Villa clash as Arteta makes Willock decision

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta could name a similar starting XI to the Gunners’ last Premier League match when they face Aston Villa on Sunday. The majority of the team who beat Manchester United 1-0 last weekend could keep their spot in Arteta’s side. Express Sport have picked an XI we expect to see line up against Dean Smith’s side.

Goalkeeper: Leno

Bernd Leno has played every minute in the Premier League this season so will keep his spot in goal.

The German will want to impress, with his former rival for the No 1 spot Emiliano Martinez in the opposite net.

Some Arsenal fans were against the sale of Martinez in the summer and would have preferred to see him rather than Leno play this season.

But Leno has the chance to repay the faith shown in him by Mikel Arteta.

Arteta is likely to stick with the four-at-the-back formation which was on show against United as well as Molde in the Europa League on Thursday.

Hector Bellerin and Kieran Tierney are the first-choice options at full-back and it should remain that way if they keep fit.
