Jose Mourinho worried for fragile Gareth Bale due to Wales coach’s Arsenal allegiances

Jose Mourinho fears Wales could destroy Gareth Bale’s fragile fitness – and is uncomfortable with them having an Arsenal coach in the dugout.

Bale is back in the Welsh squad to face USA, Republic of Ireland and Finland after a knee injury, and Mourinho wants them to manage his minutes.

But the Tottenham boss fears his calls to protect Bale could be ignored because Ryan Giggs is not in charge for those matches.

Robert Page and assistant coach Albert Stuivenberg, who is also an assistant at the Emirates, are standing in for Giggs after his recent arrest.

And Mourinho said: “We’re all working so carefully with him that we don’t want to destroy the work everybody is doing for the last couple of months.
