Arsenal are preparing for the visit of Aston Villa, with Mikel Arteta’s side looking to make it four consecutive wins in all competitions.

The Gunners beat Molde 4-1 in the Europa League on Thursday, with impressive performances from many of Arsenal’s young players.

However, with the January transfer window rapidly approaching, it remains to be seen whether the current FA Cup holders will be looking to add some numbers to their squad to help them through to the end of the season.

Szoboszlai’s agent speaks out

Arsenal’s interest in Dominik Szoboszlai is concrete, the player’s agent has confirmed.

football.london first revealed the Gunners’ interest in the Hungary international in the summer of 2019 and scouts have been in regular attendance at Red Bull Salzburg games ever since.

There was talk of Szoboszlai joining Arsenal in the extended summer transfer window, but those links proved to be just rumours as the 20-year-old stayed put in Austria.

Willock told to explore loan move

Owen Hargreaves has suggested Joe Willock should explore a loan switch away from Arsenal if he wants to make the most of his potential and get regular game time.

The 21-year-old has been in top form throughout Arsenal’s Europa League campaign, having scored two goals and created another, but is yet to make a Premier League appearance for the Gunners this season.

Speaking to BT Sport following the club’s victory over Molde on Thursday, in which Willock scored during the closing stages, former Manchester United star Hargreaves described the midfielder’s situation as ‘difficult’ because of the depth Arsenal have in the middle of the park.
