Arsenal handed major boost over Edu’s next transfer mission to complete Mikel Arteta’s squad

Arsenal’s interest in Dominik Szoboszlai is concrete, the player’s agent has confirmed.

football.london first revealed the Gunners’ interest in the Hungary international in the summer of 2019 and scouts have been in regular attendance at Red Bull Salzburg games ever since.

There was talk of Szoboszlai joining Arsenal in the extended summer transfer window, but those links proved to be just rumours as the 20-year-old stayed put in Austria.

And he’s started the new season in fine form with five goals and eight assists in 12 appearances across all competitions.

Two of those goals have come in the Champions League – against Lokomotiv Moscow as well as Atletico Madrid – while Szoboszlai caught the eye of many Gunners supporters with his display against Bayern Munich earlier in the week.

With the January transfer window fast approaching, a number of Arsenal fans have made it clear that they would like to see the midfielder arrive at the Emirates Stadium.

It remains to be seen if an agreement can be reached between the north London outfit and Salzburg, but the good news is that the club are very much interested in Szoboszlai.

As per Sport Witness, Matyas Esterhazy – the agent of the attacking midfielder – has been discussing interest in his client.

The report states that Esterhazy revealed that Szoboszlai will not be signing for AC Milan despite having been close to an agreement twice and that ‘Arsenal’s interest is real’.
