Arsenal evening headlines as Nicolas Pepe given advice, wonderkids proving Arsene Wenger right

Here are the Arsenal evening headlines for Friday, November 6.

Wenger promise being fulfilled by Arsenal youngster

Arsene Wenger’s vow to leave the club in a “strong and healthy position” is being delivered by Arsenal ’s most promising youngsters.

Bukayo Saka, Joe Willock and Eddie Nketiah continue to impress and were all in action as Mikel Arteta’s side beat Molde 4-1 in the Europa League last night.

And Wenger’s words now seem prescient as Arsenal’s youthful team develops further.

“I want to leave the club in a strong and healthy position and that means with good players, with good youth behind and a strong financial position to go further up and develop more,” Wenger told BBC Sport in 2015 .

“The guy that comes in after me will be in a very good position to deliver something exceptional.”

Hargreaves suggests Willock could leave on loan

Owen Hargreaves has claimed Joe Willock might be wise to leave Arsenal on loan .

The 21-year-old midfielder scored on Thursday night as Mikel Arteta’s side beat Molde in the Europa League.

But he has seen his opportunities limited in the Premier League.

“It’s a difficult one,” Hargreaves said on BT Sport. “It’s so obvious that he’s performing and he’s doing great.

“You don’t wanna sound ungrateful by knocking on the door because he is playing him, he’s playing him in a big game. It’s really only him and Nketiah.”

He added: “I think back to Phillip Lahm, Toni Kroos and David Alaba, they went on two-year loans from Bayern Munich.

“They went on two-year loans and played their football at Hoffenheim, at Stuttgart, at Leverkusen to get those reps. Play European football for big teams in the Bundesliga and come back and walk in the Bayern Munich team.
