Good evening and welcome along to live coverage of Mikel Arteta’s post-match press conference after Arsenal’s 4-1 win over Molde FK in the Europa League Group B.
The Gunners secured a third straight win in the group stages to put them three points ahead of tonight’s opponents in the table.
But it wasn’t as straightforward as some had predicted as Arsenal had to claw themselves back from a goal down to secure victory in north London.
The home side fell behind in stunning fashion in the 22nd minute when Martin Ellingsen curled a fine effort past Bernd Leno to give the Norwegian’s a shock lead at the Emirates.
The Gunners responded, of sorts, drawing level through an own goal when Kristoffer Haugen put through his own net under heavy pressure from Joe Willock on the stroke of half time.
It looked like it could be a frustrating night for Arsenal when Sead Kolasinac missed an asbolute sitter just after half time, somehow spooning over the bar on the half volley from a few yards out.
But that miss didn’t prove costly as the home side then went in front midway through the second half thanks to a second own goal of the night from the visitors, this time it was Sheriff Sinyan who put through his own net and Arteta’s side were ahead.
Nicolas Pepe stuck a third goal for Arsenal with 20 minutes to go to seal all three points in the Group B contest. They stretched their lead further late on as Willock got his goal after an excellent outing as the Gunners made it three wins from three games in the group stages.
We will have live coverage of what Arteta has to say to the media coming up with our Arsenal writer Chris Wheatly from the Emirates. We will also have a full transcript with everything Arteta had to say online later this evening.
