‘When I see them shining, it makes me happy’ | Press conference | News

With players such as Erlng Haaland and Martin Odegaard making a big impression in Europe, it’s clear that the next generation of Norwegian talent is something special.

Joe Willock has been hugely impressed by what he has seen, and acknowledges we could be in for a big test against Molde on Thursday night.

“It’s brilliant to see youngsters coming out of a country that’s not that big, who are really expressing themselves across the world,” he said.

“When I watch the Champions League and see them shining, it makes me happy because I’m a young player too. It’s really exciting for them.

“We’ve watched some clips of [Molde] and we assessed them today. They’re a very good side so we have to stick to our guns and have to go in there to win the game.

“We’re both at the top of the group with six points, and we want to stamp our authority on the group. We need to take this game really seriously.”
