Former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas was on the receiving end of Twitter criticism regarding his Fantasy Premier League team.
The online game, often referred to as FPL, sees Premier League fans create teams of players who win points depending on their real-life club performances and is very popular among supporters.
The official Fantasy Premier League account on Twitter shared an Instagram post by Fabregas in which he asked supporters for help to improve his side, which includes the likes of Allison, Mohamed Salah and Harry Kane.
However, the post was bombarded with confused fans making fun of some of the Spaniard’s more debatable inclusions. Mohamed Elneny was one of the players in question, with Twitter users lamenting Fabregas’ decision to deploy him in midfield. Some even went as far as to advise the World Cup-winning midfielder that he should give up on the game altogether.
@destro_titus : Aubameyang captain, tell him to just delete.
@CaesarTheSpicy1 : Yeah I have some advice. If you value your points tally, don’t play FPL as an Arsenal fan. Remove both Arsenal midfielders. Replace with literally any other.
@FPLProp : I think Cesc needs to announce his retirement from FPL.
@danielfrancish : Was about to help him out until I see Elneny.
@OnceMidzy_LYK77 : Everything looks good but Elneny and Dias gotta go.
@DOhanama : Cesc definitely needs our help cause what is that team?
