Here are your Arsenal headlines for the evening of Friday, October 23.
Arsenal’s unlikely hero
Mohamed Elneny was one of Arsenal’ s star men in the 2-1 comeback win over Rapid Vienna in the Europa League, with the Egyptian midfielder appearing rejuvenated this season.
It was a cutting pass from Elneny to Hector Bellerin down the right side that created the opening for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to put the Gunners ahead as Arteta’s side fought from 1-0 down to claim an important three points.
football.london’s Chris Wheatley has looked at how Elneny has changed his game this season after finding some consistency in a loan spell at Besiktas last term.
Elneny has given Arsenal some creativity in midfield that they were previously lacking, with the Egyptian proving Arteta right in his decision to exile Mesut Ozil from the first-team squad at the club.

Latest injury news ahead of Leicester
Arsenal return to Premier League action at home to Leicester City on Sunday evening on the back of an encouraging Europa League win over Rapid Vienna during the week.
However, Mikel Arteta has a number of injury concerns ahead of that match against Brendan Rodgers’ side. Rob Holding, for instance, will be missing for three weeks after suffering an injury in the warm-up against Manchester City last weekend.
Dani Ceballos missed the trip to Austria with an ankle knock, but could return to the squad for Sunday’s game against the Foxes. Willian was another player who missed the win over Rapid Vienna and like Ceballos will be assessed.
Pablo Mari is back in light training after damaging knee ligaments in June, while Calum Chambers is making good progress in his recovery from a long-term knee injury and could be back in action soon than was originally anticipated.
