Arsenal star Gabriel Martinelli has revealed that he is feeling ‘confident’ again after stepping up his recovery from a serious knee injury he suffered earlier this year.
The 19-year-old forward went down in a heap at Arsenal’s training ground back in June and underwent surgery to repair a lesion in the cartilage of his left knee which ruled him out of the remainder of last season.
Mikel Arteta has also been without Martinelli at the start of this term but there are hopes the young Brazilian could return to first-team action before the end of 2020.

Martinelli is positive about the progress he’s made and is due to begin ball work in the not-too-distant future.
‘I feel very well,’ he told Arsenal’s official website.
‘I’m regaining confidence and I can feel my knee is better.
‘After an injury like this you are kind of scared to force the knee again but the past couple of weeks it has been fine.
‘Soon I can start training with the ball.’
