Lucas Torreira has broken his silence on his Arsenal exit.
The Uruguayan midfielder will spend the rest of the season on loan with Atletico Madrid having joined the Spanish club on deadline day.
And he may never return to the Emirates Stadium, Atleti holding an option to buy.
Of course, whether Atletico decide to activate that option or not will depend on Torreira’s form, but judging by the midfielder’s farewell tweet, his time with the Gunners could well be over.

He wrote on Twitter: “It was an absolute privilege playing for Arsenal these last two seasons!
“Thanks a lot! We catch up soon! Once a Gunner…always a Gunner!!”
Torreira joined Arsenal in 2018 from Sampdoria for a fee of around £26million and he still has three years remaining on his contract.
However, the Gunners were happy to allow the 24-year-old depart on loan following the arrival of Thomas Partey.
Torreira now starts a new life in Spain where he could well remain well beyond this year.
