Arsenal news and transfers live: Ozil’s next move, Saliba swap deal, Aouar boost

Arsenal enjoyed a fine summer transfer window but it’s not over just yet.

From Thomas Partey to Gabriel Magalhaes, Willian to Dani Ceballos, the Gunners were active in the window, which slammed shut on Monday…sort of.

There is a domestic window that runs until October 16 and Arsenal, along with their Premier League rivals, are able to do deals with EFL clubs up until that date.

They are also able to offload players to teams based in countries where the window has not closed, though the five major leagues are all in line with the English window.

William Saliba is a player who could depart, linked with a number of Championship clubs, while there is also talk of Mesut Ozil’s contract being cancelled.

We will have the latest on all that in our live blog below throughout the day,

MLS move likely for Ozil

The Mirror report that Mesut Ozil is likely to move to the MLS when his Arsenal contract ends.

With the attacking midfielder effectively exiled from the Gunners after failing to make their Europa League squad, there is talk that the club may look at paying off his contract.

If so, then Ozil would be free to join any club in January, and a move to the USA looks to be on the cards.
