Mesut Ozil and Arsenal to hold fresh pay-off talks ahead of eventual January exit

Arsenal will reportedly hold fresh talks with Mesut Ozil over a pay-off which could see the German leave the Emirates in January.

Ozil is Arsenal’s highest earner, believed to be taking home wages of £350,000 per week.

But he’s not wanted by Mikel Arteta with the Gunners boss leaving the former Real Madrid star out of his Europa League squad.

Ozil is into the final year of his contract but Arsenal are keen to shift him earlier having tried reach an agreement before the transfer window shut.

The Mirror claim the Premier League giants will now re-open talks with Ozil over a pay-off, reporting that it could see the World Cup winner head to the States in January.
