A Manchester United fan won £21,000 from an incredible £20 bet – after he backed his team’s fierce rivals Liverpool to beat Arsenal.
It’s the second time Wayne Jones has had a huge success at the bookies, after he won £7,000 betting on his beloved United to beat rivals Manchester City two years ago.
In 2018 he gambled a tenner that the Red Devils would beat City 3-2, with Chris Smalling scoring the winner – at odds of 700-1.
His team’s win not only boosted his pocket, but also held up City’s Premier League title celebrations that season for eight days.
But now the 61-year-old grandfather has had his biggest win yet after deciding to back Jurgen Klopp’s side.

He took 10 minutes out from his job working on high-rise cranes to put two bets on – and ended up £21,420 richer.
Wayne correctly predicted that Alexandre Lacazette would score first, but that Liverpool would beat Arsenal 3-1 in their Premier League clash on September 28.
That bet came in at 125/1 with Betfred – while he also backed Jack Grealish to score first at Fulham, which was 15/2.
“I had a very busy day working the high-rise cranes in North Wales, and I only had ten minutes or so to get these two bets on,” he told the Manchester Evening News.

“I was checking out the games quickly, and thought Grealish would score first because he’d be looking to get selected for England.
“Regarding the game at Anfield, I always think that Lacazette takes three or four games to get into his stride and that Virgil van Dijk always starts slowly. That was my thinking.
