Paul Merson has suggested that Curtis Jones will be thinking of a Liverpool exit after Thiago Alcantara’s arrival.
The Reds youngster started both of the Reds’ Carabao Cup fixtures, including their penalty shootout defeat to Arsenal.
In contrast, in the Premier League, Jones has yet to start a game, playing just 24 minutes in the opening three games.
And the arrival of Thiago, according to Merson, could force Jones out of Klopp’s squad.

Merson told Sky Sports: “He’s a very good player but how long do you stay at Liverpool?
“I don’t see him playing at the moment, I don’t see him getting into the team.
“All of a sudden Thiago comes in.
“He’s probably thinking, ‘I’m doing alright at the moment, I’m playing well’.
“All of a sudden Thiago comes in and you think, ‘where does that leave me?’
