Lyon playmaker Houssem Aouar is Arsenal ‘s top transfer target and they are hoping to seal a deal for the 22-year-old before the transfer window slams shut on October 5.
However, after making a number of additions already this summer and only cashing in on goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, the Gunners are looking to offload players in a bid to raise the necessary funds to sign Aouar.
The Ligue 1 outfit have already rejected bids from Arsenal and are said to be holding out for a fee between €40m (£36.5m) – €45m (£41m).
Left-back Sead Kolasinac looks set to depart, with Bayer Leverkusen in talks with the player, and Arsenal are also hoping to finalise an exit for Lucas Torreira.

Torreira had been linked with moves to Serie A sides Torino and Fiorentina but it is Atletico Madrid who are the favourites to secure his signature.
According to Spanish outlet AS, the 24-year-old is closing in on a season-long loan move to Atletico, with the La Liga side having the option to make the move permanent for a fee of £22m at the end of the campaign.

However, the report claims the move is dependent on Hector Herrera leaving the club and a separate report from Goal adds that Atletico are reluctant to finalise the Torreira deal until Herrera’s departure is confirmed.
Once Torreira officially joins Atletico, Arsenal will then make their final move for Aouar, amid claims Paris Saint-Germain are also keen on signing the midfielder.
