Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed he ‘loves’ Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal squad.

The Premier League champions beat Arsenal 3-1 in the Premier League on Monday and face the Gunners again on Thursday night in the Carabao Cup.

While Liverpool have been the dominant team in England over the past 18 months, Arsenal continue to improve under Arteta, who replaced Unai Emery in the Emirates hot-seat last December.

Arsenal finished only eighth last season but ended the season by winning the FA Cup, and started the 2020-21 campaign by beating Liverpool in the Community Shield.

Writing in his matchday column ahead of Liverpool’s EFL Cup clash against Arsenal, Klopp said: ‘Tonight will be hard – super hard.

‘Again, without sounding like an Arsenal fan, I really love their squad and I love what they do at the moment.

Klopp also insisted that any changes he makes for the cup clash…
