Arsenal fans react to the Ainsley Maitland-Niles talk
While reports in Germany suggest a deal could be done, the Manchester Evening News report Man United are not interested in a deal at this point, instead concentrating on Alex Telles and Jadon Sancho.
Maitland-Niles has started two of Arsenal’s first three Premier League games this season, playing 90 minutes in both games.
The 23-year-old is under contract at the Emirates Stadium until 2023 but Mikel Arteta does need to raise funds to land a new midfielder and Maitland-Niles has been mentioned among a list of names that could be sacrificed.
Though, it seems more likely the likes of Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi would be first out the door.
