We simulated Liverpool vs Arsenal to get a score prediction for Premier League clash

Arsenal are looking to record their third consecutive win against Liverpool on Monday evening in the Premier League.

Mikel Arteta’s side beat Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium towards the end of last season, also beating the Premier League champions in the Community Shield at Wembley.

The Gunners are without Calum Chambers, Gabriel Martinelli, Pablo Mari, Shkodran Mustafi and Emile Smith Rowe through injury, whilst Sokratis, Kieran Tierney and Cedric Soares are also injury doubts ahead of the game at Anfield.

So, which lineup will Arteta go for against Liverpool? And, what will the final score be?

We used FIFA 20 to have a bit of fun and get a unique prediction ahead of this Monday evening Premier League clash between Liverpool and Arsenal.

Liverpool vs Arsenal score predicted using FIFA

To set up this simulation, we used kick-off mode within FIFA 20 but didn’t select a team to control. We then selected the teams and watched the match play out by itself, to give us a unique prediction.

The AI difficulty was set to legendary, with the line-up updated with the latest transfers, injuries and suspensions, to make the simulation as realistic as possible.

Obviously, as we’re using FIFA 20, with FIFA 21 not currently available yet, all of the kits are a season old.

We predict that Liverpool could set up in a 4-3-3 formation, with the line-up as follows; Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Fabinho, Van Dijk, Robertson; Thiago, Wijnaldum, Keita; Salah, Firmino, Mane.

We predict that Arsenal could set up in a 3-4-3 formation, with their lineup as follows: Leno; Holding, Luiz, Gabriel; Bellerin, Ceballos, Xhaka, Maitland-Niles, Willian, Lacazette, Aubameyang.

Liverpool flew out of the traps in our simulation, taking just 11 minutes to open the scoring against Arsenal, with Thiago Alcantara scoring a goal on his home debut.
