Dani Ceballos returning on another loan spell was another promising piece of business as he’ll look to build on his partnership with Granit Xhaka. Runar Alex Runarsson has arrived to replace Emi Martinez and now attention is back to the central midfield area, an area Arsenal are looking to strengthen with Houssem Aouar.
football.london understands that the Gunners are ready to increase their offer to £36.5million (€40million) with a further £9million in potential add-ons (€10million), after an initial bid of £32million (€35million) was rejected.
Interest remains in Thomas Partey, and the potential exit of Lucas Torreira could help Arsenal grease the wheels to potentially bring their two biggest targets to the club before the deadline.
