Arsenal have struck a personal agreement with Lyon ace Houssem Aouar, who is keen to reunite with former teammate Alexandre Lacazette at the Emirates.
Reports in France suggest Aouar has agreed to join the Gunners this summer, having been identified as a top transfer target by Mikel Arteta.
It is believed Arsenal have tabled a £32million bid for the midfielder, which falls way below Lyon’s £54million asking price.
However, the French outfit are prepared to lower their demand should they come back in with an improved offer before next week’s transfer deadline.
Aouar is understood to have already finalised personal terms with Gunners chiefs, meaning the two clubs simply need to agree a transfer fee.

The pair are still very close from their time together at Lyon, where Lacazette departed to move to England in 2017.
Aouar also knows Matteo Guendouzi well after playing together for France’s Under-21s.
