Arsenal fans have taken to social media and are speculating about a possible new signing.
With less than two weeks to go until the summer transfer window closes, the Gunners are being tipped to do some late business amid links to Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Partey and Lyon’s Houssem Aouar.
However, with both players likely to cost at least £45m, the north London outfit will have to raise funds by selling players in order to address Mikel Arteta’s midfield concerns.

And following an update from Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas, it would appear that pulling off a deal for Aouar could prove too difficult.
“Financially, Arsenal are like everyone else (in a tricky spot),” he told Le Progres. “And Houssem could say to himself that the best thing would be to stay with us.”
But what about Partey?
Well, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the arrival of the Ghana international at the Emirates Stadium before deadline day hinges on the club’s attempts to move on the likes of Lucas Torreira, Sokratis, and Sead Kolasinac.
“For sure, Arsenal will try to get a midfielder,” he said on talkSPORT. “It will be Aouar or Thomas. But it’s important for them to sell players; we talk about [Lucas] Torreira, [Sead] Kolasinac and Sokratis.
“They need to sell and if they sell players, they will come back for one of Aouar or Thomas.”
With that said, there is a growing belief amongst the Arsenal fan base that a deal for Partey is closer than many think.
This is mainly down to some eagle-eyed supporters spotting that the midfielder wasn’t included in Atletico’s new kit trailer which has recently been uploaded to social media.
