Jurgen Klopp reacts to Liverpool setting up Arsenal Carabao Cup tie after Lincoln thrashing

Liverpool eased into the fourth round of the Carabao Cup as Jurgen Klopp’s men thrashed Lincoln City 7-2.

Xherdan Shaqiri, Takumi Minamino, Curtis Jones, Marko Grujic and Divock Origi were all on the scoresheet for Liverpool, with Jorge Edward Grant and Conor McGrandles scoring consolation goals for the League One side.

The Reds’ reward is a clash with Arsenal, with Mikel Arteta’s side set to travel to Anfield for a mouthwatering round four tie.

Liverpool and Arsenal will meet in the Premier League on Monday night before their next Carabao Cup contest and Klopp is delighted that his side are at home for both fixtures!

‘Thank God we have two home games,’ he laughed with Sky Sports after the match. ‘Sorry, Mikel. You have to come to Liverpool twice, It’s not so bad.

‘It will be tough. I’m not sure which cup competition we played Arsenal last year but that was a real rollercoaster as well. 5-5, a penalty shootout.
