Mesut Ozil has picked his dream starting XI of players he has played with throughout his career in a Twitter Q&A and there was no room for any current Arsenal players.
The 31-year-old playmaker has played with a number of world-class footballers during his storied career at both club and international level and it was no surprise to see that the majority of his XI was made of players from his time at Real Madrid and playing for Germany.
Just one Gunners star made the cut, with former midfielder Santi Cazorla lining up alongside Xabi Alonso in midfield.
In what proved to be the most controversial pick, Ozil opted for Real legend Iker Casillas in goal ahead of national team star Manuel Neuer.

Philip Laham, Sergio Ramoz, Jerome Boateng and Marcelo made up a formidable back four, with Ozil calling Ramos: “One of the best defenders ever. And a great character and friend as well.”
In attack, Ozil opted for all Real players, with Arsenal team-mate Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang a notable omission.
Karim Benzema was chosen to lead the line instead, with Angel Di Maria, Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo in behind him.
