Latest Arsenal transfer rumours: Lacazette talks, Bellerin to Barcelona, £54.5m Aouar deal

Arsenal have less than a month to make further additions in the summer transfer window.

So far, the Gunners have re-signed Dani Ceballos on a season-long loan deal from Real Madrid, with the Spaniard joining Willian and Gabriel Magalhaes as the three summer arrivals.

But another midfielder is on the agenda, with Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Partey understood to be a key target, whilst Lyon’s Houssem Aouar has also been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium.

With that said, here are the latest Arsenal transfer rumours.

Lacazette set for showdown talks

Alexandre Lacazette is expected to seek clarification over his role at Arsenal amid growing speculation he could leave this summer.

According to ESPN that Atletico Madrid and Juventus have explored the possibility of signing the Frenchman, but have been told they would have to pay close to £40m to secure his services, a fee neither club have as yet shown any willingness to match.

Furthermore, the report states that while head coach Mikel Arteta would ideally like to retain Lacazette, he recognises the club is under pressure to offload several players from his first-team squad.

Lacazette has two years remaining on his contract but has not agitated to leave and it is understood previously planned talks over his status within the squad were delayed until this month.

Amid speculation regarding his future, the forward teased that he wouldn’t be going anywhere this summer with a cryptic social media hint.
