Leeds sign England youth international Sam Greenwood from Arsenal as 18-year-old striker becomes latest promising youngster to join Marcelo Bielsa’s side

  • Leeds have signed striker Sam Greenwood on a three-year deal from Arsenal 
  • The 18-year-old made five appearances in Premier League 2 for the Gunners
  • The forward also scored 12 goals in 14 appearances for England’s Under 17s
  • Greenwood is the latest promising youngster to join Marcelo Bielsa’s side 

Leeds have signed striker Sam Greenwood from Arsenal on a three-year contract. 

The 18-year-old joined the Gunners from Sunderland in 2018 and featured regularly for the club’s Under 18s before making the step up to the Under 23s, featuring five times in Premier League 2.

The Yorkshire club are thought to have paid an initial fee of £1.5million which could rise to £3m, with the transfer subject to regulatory process.
