Michael Owen has revealed his prediction for the Community Shield as Premier League champions Liverpool prepare to face FA Cup winners Arsenal.

Last season, Jurgen Klopp led Liverpool to their first domestic title in 30 years, with the Reds eventually winning the league by 22 points.

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal only finished eighth – 43 points behind Liverpool – but did at least finish the season with some silverware after beating London rivals Chelsea in the FA Cup final at Wembley.

The Community Shield – the traditional curtain-raiser for the new season – takes place on Saturday evening and Premier League legend Owen expects Liverpool to come out on top despite Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scoring against the champions.
