Arsenal transfer rumours: Dani Ceballos makes transfer decision, Hector Bellerin wanted by Juve

Arsenal get the new season under way this weekend as they face Liverpool in the Community Shield.

The Gunners continue to make their preparations for the new campaign, with defender Gabriel close to joining the club.

Yet there is plenty more business to do if Mikel Arteta’s side plan to close the gap on the top four this season.

With that in mind, here are the latest Arsenal transfer rumours.

Ceballos blow

Whilst Mikel Arteta sounded optimistic over the prospect of Dani Ceballos returning to Arsenal this season, reports in Spain claim otherwise.

Mundo Deportivo report that Ceballos has informed Real Madrid of his desire to return to Real Betis.

The midfielder is said to be keen on the first-team football that Real Betis can offer him, having accepted that his time at the Bernabeu is over.

Ceballos spent three seasons in Betis’ first-team, having come through their youth ranks, before moving to Real Madrid in 2017.

Yet the report claims that Real Madrid are asking to be paid in full for Ceballos, which Betis cannot currently afford.

It means they will have to sell in order to raise funds to sign the midfielder.

Ceballos is said to have been in regular contact with officials at his former club during his time on loan at Arsenal, which has swayed his decision to target a return to Betis.

Juve target Bellerin

Hector Bellerin is top of Juventus’ wanted list this summer, according to Corriere dello Sport.

New Juve boss Andrea Pirlo has reportedly identified right-back as an area that needs strengthening and has made Arsenal fan-favourite Bellerin a top priority.
