Mikel Arteta has held talks with Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara over a move to the Emirates Stadium, according to reports in France, via talkSPORT .

Thiago has been heavily linked with a switch to Liverpool this summer, but if these reports are to be believed, then Arsenal are also interested in the 29-year-old.

According to French journalist Patrick Moreau, Arteta has held talks with the former Barcelona man on the phone.
